  1. Hi Im new to this forum and was after some advice really. I have just bought a plain white Epiphone Dot Studio which im intending to modify to become my main gigging guitar. I noticed just how bashed up my SG had got in the last ten years of my ownership :o( And in addition i managed to get the scratchplate (or pick guard for my friends in the US) signed by my idol Allan Holdsworth, so id rather put the SG into retirement now. Anyway back to the topic! Ive found out from the kind people on the epiphone forum that the Dot studio is finished in Polyurathane (sp?). I have a ex-graffiti artist friend of mine whose agreed to spruce up the Dot studio. Im changing the pickups, pots and jack socket etc prior to him doing anything to the guitar. I think im okay for him to use an Acrylic spray paint on the polyuarthane finish i was just after some conformation. Any particular brands of spray you guys (and gals) recommend something that i could get in the UK? Oh and would you recommend put a lacquer over the finished piece? thanks in anticipation
