Hi all made a build for my brother's christmas present 25.5 scale cherry/walnut/cherry/walnut/cherry body maple/walnut/maple/walnut/maple neck 10 degree layback 3 aside tuners 21mm at first fret 24mm at 12th fret corian nut irongear humbuckers hardtail bridge jimi page wire set-up medium fret wire 2mm h 1.5mm wide oil/wax finish

  3. Hi all made this one a few weeks back 25.5" scale 21 frets 12" radius neck 21mm at the first fret maple neck walnut body kent Armstrong pups belly carve walnut head laminate signiture on the head and 12th fret really low action plays and sounds great
  4. it only had about two coats in that pic its had about another ten now and its getting a really nice deep shine to it

  6. Put a coat of true-oil on the build , can't wait to get playing this one
  7. been busy on the build got the fretboard on slotted dotted and fretted , carved the neck and lower horn so its easier to get to the higher frets
  8. its got o neck angle the bridge is a roller type i have used one before it was all thought off before the build was started
  9. No wood was wasted its going for another build prs style
  10. I was waiting for someone to spot that one it started out as a kelly but plans changed along the way into a explorer
  11. well got a bit more work done on my axe got the wings glued on and cut to shape and sanded will be doing some work on the finger board next , going to use black with a silver speck corian for the nut truss rod cover and sratch plate
  12. build your own neck as well i would say, then it truely is a guitar you built
  13. will do when i get round to doing more work on it ,so it looks equal and central love how walnut makes me choke

Hi all started work on a kelly so a few pics for you all timber all ready to work on set out all the positions of where things will go truss rod and c f rods slotted into place head angled as well neck shaped and sanded going for all gold hardware, twin humbuckers with coil taps on them . and a true oil finish will post more pics when i have got my lazy ass into work mode

  16. Just finished work on a hollow body guitar , I'm really pleased with the results thought i would share with you all
  17. Got my first build together last night ,so a few pics for you all
  18. going to put a yellow on it . i like the idea of keeping it natural but i have always wanted a guitar in yellow . the next build will be natural for sure primer on the body
  19. got a lot of work done so some pics for you got the inlays in got the frets and nut in cut and cleaned up done all the roughter work on the body so put everything together A few coats of clear on the neck will be priming the body tomorrow
  20. so i have done a bit more work on my build bit of sanding on the neck marked the neck out for the frets and nut cut them with a gents saw made a nut out of corian and glued it in place just got my hardware and inlays will get more work done this weekend .
  21. I am thinking keep it simple for my first one. Humbuker at the bridge , one volume one tone . All gold hardware . Thinking yellow (as in the beatles yellow submarine )for the finish. 21 jumbo frets . Not sure what to do about the inlay's on the fret board yet any idea's anyone ! Side output jack not sure if to do the back of the neck and head yellow ?
