I dont think the people that buy them are idiots at all, because Spending alot of time at guitar shops playing different equitment I noticed that alot of people who buy them are beginners how think the guitars look cool, and just want to play metal and rock which is what they are made for.

I only have two effects i actually use, reverb and the in amp distortion, although i might be getting a Kustom DFX today (peavey broke), but my friend troy has a phaser, a reverb, a chorus, a delay, a metal grunge and someother distortion, and a synth wah. I think he is the type of guy your talking about

One probelm that I had with enamel paint was that even after severl coats of clear coat and letting it sit for a while actually6 months before touching it again, it cracks and smudges and its just looks bad, I had a metallic black strat that I painted and after a few hours of playing it, I couldnt stand how smudged it looked. So now im sanding it in my basement and Im just going to go for a franken strat look and hang it up on my wall. slain angels advice is probably your best bet, read the tut and follow LGMs instructions if you want a nice looking body

My sister has been playing piano for the past 12-15 years so I know a little bit about the piano. Just remember, your left hand is bass and your right hand treble. I've been trying to learn a few songs and the one thig that I found to be the biggest pain in the (insert word of choice here) was playing one thing on my left hand and another on my right hand. Just start out with easy stuff and work your way up. Hope that helps

As unorganized as I am, I'm trying to find the final two parts for my body before it arives so that I can Have them when it gets here. I'm planning on buying a book on how to do binding, and my dad is going to show me how to stain the body properly. But I'm having probelms finding Aqua blue stain. Stew mac has blue, but its to dark for the pool/ocean effect that I am going for. If anyone has bought it before or has seen it online latly, and could tell me where they got it that would rock. Alright man thanks for the input, I know they are nice because I played one at school, but I played it through a PRS so I wasnt sure if it was the guitar or amp that sounded nice.

This may sound dumb but why not trace a Strat body onto peice of 1/4" thick wood, and make your template from that, then once you cut the body out contour and set it up from there?
