I was wondernig if anyone could help me with a question. I am relatively new to the inlay game, but seem to be getting along pretty well with it. I know most people choose darker woods like rosewood or ebony to inlay into. However, I was wondering how successful inlaying into a lighter wood, like maple, would be. How easy is it to finish this wood (either staining or painting) with the inlay work involved? Is the finishing done before or after starting the inlay? Any help is appreciated...
