here goes.I was looking at stew macs fretboard calculator to help me find out where to drill my mounting screw studs.and for a 25 scale 22 fret guitar it says for a combo bridge/tailpeice the measurement from the nut to the center of mounting studs is 25.061,Likewise for a strat stye bridge its 24.755.I need help converting the decimal part of the measurements.Ive looked online for a decimal to fraction calculator and couldnt figure it out.What i would like is the measurements in plain old fractions(25.1/16?).Yes im a idiot but u could still help a brother out.

I was looking at stew macs fret position calculator and it says that to get the scale measurement from the end of the nut(end of the fingerboard at headstock)to the forward most mounting screw or piviot post on the bridge.I have checked my strat and a trem equip PRS and the mesurement to the froward most mounting screw seems to be a 1/4 inch less than the scale length.On these two guitars it seems that the scale length falls where the strings cruve into the tremolo.Maybe im over thinking it somehow. can some tell me where to rout for a strat stye trem.Should the front face of the rout be at the end of the scale?or should it be where the froward most mounting screw goes.

im building my 1st guitar and had a few questions,hope someone can help.Im going for a prs style body with a 25 in sale lenght and 22 frets.my question is can i use a stop tail piece like a wilkinson/gotoh adjustable bridge tailpeice or something like that without the neck angle?id prefer to just let the neck sit proud like a strat if i could.and if so what bridge/tailpeice would give me the most ajustment for the height?also as i have put strats together before(warmoth)how would i ground the guitar to the bridge with a stoptail peice?maybe ill just rout for a strat tremolo but i was hopeing to get away for that.
