  1. Hello Project Guitar electronics guru's. I've lerked here for quite a while noew, but have never needed to post a thread because I've always been able to find an answer to my questions. Until now. Basically what I'm wanting to acheive is two have two volumes; one for the humbucker and one for the piezo, wired like a jazz bass. The problem I run into here is that the piezo will require a 25k tone and the humbucker a 500k tone. So I thought I'd just add an extra tone, but how to do it. The way in which the two volumes are connected in the jazz bass wiring causes me to fear it may not be possible to have two seperated tones with this volume configuration, which is a shame. If that is the case, I'd want to have a master volume, two tones and a blend, but I'm not sure how I'd go about this with a magnetic pickup and a piezo either. Thanks for your time.
  2. I have an electric nylon strung guitar mod about to get under way so that is my primary project at the present time. Also I'm a bit slack when it comes to putting my ideas into practice, but if I do say myself this is one of the better ones. When time permits I'll hopefully give it a go
  3. Heres one for you all. How about a seperate unit that you run a lead into that has a sustainer circuit and a pickup on a board with, say, twelve strings to make an octave. Will the driver work on these strings or will it only work to keep a string vibrating once its vibrating, I'm not sure. I'm thinking it would create some interesting effects if you split your signal and ran one lead into an amp normally and had another running through this unit then into an amp. Basically what I'm asking though is would the sustainer work on the stationary strings in the unit?
  4. I've been lurking for a while, and I was just wondering if it woud be somehow possible to build six seperate coils, each indepedently assigned to a seperate string. I think that would be pretty useful, being able to sustain some of the strings and not others. Anyway, let me know if you think it could work, I just might give it a try
