  1. cheers for the replies, i think ill use the drum sander method on a press drill, as im already pretty close to the line.
  2. i cut out my guitar body a few days ago with a jigsaw, and used a rasp to get closer to the line, but im finding it hard to get the sides go straight down from the front/back. i was thinking about using a router to slowly take it of and straightening it, is this a good idea, or are there a risks of tear outs? any help or advice would be appreciated or anyone elses methods. cheers
  3. bugger wrong forum cheers.
  4. a guitar i put together a while back decided it wanted to stop working, so i had to get new electronics. . However, its h/s/h formation an i wanted to wire it up like this diagram but when i got my 5 way the contacts were not like - 1...2...3...4 ..1...2...3...4 they were like this - 1...2...3...4... ........1...2...3...4 so do i wire it by counting from one end and going 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8 as they come, or do i count each side seperately, as in the diagram in the link, just offset? i hope thats clear, and any help would be appreciated
  5. theres a few on this website , dont know if there any good for you though, but they were the ones i was considering
  6. cheers for the replies. i think ill end up drawing my own plans, but i was interested because its my first project and i wanted a v because of the easy shape, but i dont like the non gibson v's. i was gonna make just a gibson style body, but that was about all id decided on so far, i havnt decided on hardware/ pickups etc.
  7. i was thinking about starting a flying v project soon (gibson style), but im unsure of the size. i was looking at the stew mac one peiece bodies, but was wondering if 13 3/4" by 20" was enough wood. does anyone know the dimensions of the flying v shape, or if this is enough before i buy plans. cheers.
