  1. There are a couple of trem designs that are front mount, or front route. The most popular are the Kahler, with the Washburn "Wonderbar" being a distant (and extinct) 2nd.
  2. 9956- PLEASE re-read the rules regarding pics in posts: http://projectguitar.ibforums.com/index.php?showtopic=11235 Thank you.
  3. Maybe I got "felony" mixed up with "federal offense". Either way, it's a no-no. How about a little good news? Something from the sneak peek department: Front Back Contents Let me know what you guys think!
  4. Actually, it is a felony to say "Patent Pending" if you do not have a patent pending.
  5. Haggard: Imagine being in my shoes: -I get 5-10 emails a day, from players around the world asking for *multiple* units. So far, the record for one person is EIGHT! -I read tons of posts each week on forums all over the 'net from players and builders wanting to install them. It's absolutely painful to be so close. Hopefully, someone somewhere has learned what an incredible process this all is, and how much work is involved that we, as consumer/players/builders, never even hear about or get to see. It makes those who want it all the more impatient, but I think the knowledge gained (and getting the info direct from the source) is worth it. At least I hope it is. LOL
  6. Oh yeah. I'm quite aware of the other guys out there. So is my attorney. It will all be taken care of soon enough. We're working as fast as we can to get the Tremol-No out to you guys. We have all the advertising done, all the packaging done...it's all done. Except for the actual units. The factory is the only thing we're waiting on. With quality materials and super-tight tolerances, it takes longer to make the units. It's just that simple. If we went with crappy materials and "close enough" tolerances, they'd be done....but you guys would hate me for releasing it. I still don't have an exact date from the factory. I know I won't have them for NAMM. I'll guess and say that we might have them at the end of March or begining of April. Yes- it sucks, but that's actually a pretty normal lead time for something like this (top line materials, less than .003mm tolerances). NAMM stands for "Not Available until Mid-March" anyway. LMAO I'll keep you guys updated as best I can. Thanks for your patience in all this.
  7. Well, if the truth isn't good enough, then I guess I'll make something up.... "I didn't get lucky last night so I was in a crappy mood, then some clown on the drive home insisted on doing 30 in a 50 so I rode his ass like a proctologist. I finally screeched into the driveway, ran right upstairs, pulled up PG.com and said to myself, "I'm so pissed off right now. What can I do to vent my anger? Oh I know! I can yank Perry's moderator status. Yeah...that'll make everything better!" You like that one better? It was a message to ALL the members (as the post stated). Besides you, there are 5000 others that I wanted to inform. Sorry for not spamming them all with an email and putting in a post instead. This is a member-driven board and we need the members to help us out. We can't catch all the errors ourselves. Well, so far....just 3 posts. But the next time I talk to Brian, I'll let him know that it should be removed.
  8. I would have said, "PG has a bunch of new moderators coming on board, so the Admin said I didn't have to moderate anymore, and can could focus on building my badass guitars." ....but that's just me. (And almost verbatim as to what I said in PM to you). I'm just letting ALL the members know that I've never receieved any requests to pull that tutorial. From anyone. Not even a message to forward to Brian. I happen to agree with everyone that a tutorial from Litch is kinda like letting your daughter go out on a date with Tom Byron- It's just a bad idea all the way around.
  9. "pissed in my pocket"? Nice. Any other questions from anyone? I think we're done here. We've got several other moderators coming on board VERY soon. When I get un-busy (hopefully this week), they will get setup. I don't do any of the changes to the main site; that is all-Brian. I have NEVER receieved a PM or email about that tutorial. Ever. From any member.

  11. I can change the number of available selections in a poll- anywhere from 2 to 9999.
  12. I'm thinking about a few ideas on how to get everyone in on this: Option 1: - GOTY= All montly winners are entered. - "Part Deux"= All non-winner entrants. Option 2: - GOTY- Gold medal, Silver medal, Bronze medal. Includes all past entrants. Option 3: - GOTY= All monthly winners: Gold, Silver, Bronze. - All non-winners: Gold, Silver, Bronze. Let me know what you guys think.
  13. I'll talk with Brian about it, but I also think it's a good idea. There are so many incredible guitars built this past year, it'll be a tough vote. We'll get something up soon.
  14. If anyone takes the last few pages of this thread as ANYTHING other than pure fun and humor, email me and I will explain it all to you. In graphic detail.
  15. Alright.... NKOTB was from Boston, and we've more than made up for that: Aerosmith, Boston, Extreme, Gary Hoey, just to name a few. Robert VanWinkle (aka Vanilla Ice)...well...Ok. Strike one for us. LOL "STOP! Collaborate and listen...Ice is back with a brand new invention...." Michael Bolton is from Conneticut. But come on, he never tortured us like Celine did/does. Anyone have video of him doing 'Thriller'? I didn't think so. Being a failed metal head, and having your entire career based on cover songs isn't really all that bad. Gerardo Mejia III (aka Gerardo, Rico Suave) isn't from the U.S. He's actually from Ecuador. Nice try though.
  16. +1 This is the thorough and professional way to do it. +1 This is the quick and dirty way to do it.
  17. Wow.....a Chiliwack reference. Impressive. I only kid around with Canada. It's great fun to watch LGM wriggle around in his computer chair huffing/guffing at all this...while plotting his escape over the border. If you get the chance to see it in person, buy a ticket. Oh, and +1 on the Red Ryder.
  18. Whoa.....slow down there, funky monkey. If I recall correctly, someone in this thread is DYING to become an American. Hmmm....who could it be? I can't apologize for Michael. It was unfair; we were out numbered. How could we know that the cute little one of the Jackson 5 would end up being the biggest walking freak show on the planet? The Backdoor Boys are gone. Pfft...thankfully. Britney? Come on. Watching self-destruction is the latest past time, and Britney provides us with some stellar stuff. Not as good as "Chicken Of The Sea" Simpson, but still....pretty damn funny. There's a few more that the Great White North residents need to answer for: - Corey Hart - Allanus Morrissette - The guy that broke up with Allanus causing her to do that "men suck" album. Oh...there's quite a list. LOL NOTE: My mom is from Calgary, and if I had a 2nd home it'd probably be in Whistler/Blackcomb. I actually *like* Canada.
  19. -Check each saddle to make sure that they are burr-free. "Scratch" the string slot of the saddle with your fingernail to test for burrs and irregularities. -If they're not smooth, use some 00, 000 or 0000 steel wool on the end of a Q-tip shaft to smooth them out. Be careful not to remove the finish. An option to consider is graphite saddles. www.graphtech.com What type of trem is it? Floyd? Wilkinson? "Vintage"? Mickguard- some medium-fine grit sandpaper rolled up into a tube shape to fit the string holes of your trem block and trem plate should take care of your breakage problem. A strip of Scotchbrite pad could work too.
  20. 100 Rushes, 100 Triumphs, 100 Jeff Healeys can't make up for that. Ever. Do my Canadian friends now understand the mountain they must climb? (thanks for the link, weezerboy)
  21. I tried that once. I was at the grocery store shopping and "My Career Will Go On" comes over the muzak spreakens. I ran screaming like Courtney Love when she runs out of H. Needless to say, they don't let me shop there anymore. When every radio station plays it every other song, it's a little tough to avoid. Someone please dig up that video of her doing "BAD".
  22. Venues in the US pay for an ASCAP and/or BMI license so they *can* play live music in their building. You'll usually see the stickers on the front door. If not, ask the manager or owner. Imagine if Mozart or Beethoven didn't write anything down for fear of being copied and spread throughout the globe. Pretty soon, you'll be thrown in jail for whistling. "FREEZE! Hold it right there! That was the chorus to 'You Give Love A Bad Name.' You're comin' with me son...."
