  1. Sorry to hear about losing your friend, Scott. I agree that the guitars are a nice gesture, and that you obviously made some kind of impression....and a good one at that. The guitars don't bring him back, but they can help remind you of the good times.
  2. The guys in Zep or Floyd never had a pedophile manager. Does anyone still have that video of Celine doing "Bad"? Please post it so our bretheren north of the border can see the scale of the damage they've caused us.
  3. Whoa....slow down Canadian folks. You've got a long way to go before we forgive you for Celine Dion. I guess I should change "a god" to "an extremely popular singer-songwriter". As big of a Rush/Alex (and Triumph/Rik Emmett) fan as I am, Bryan blows them away when it comes to airplay and album sales. Sorry folks.
  4. Actually, he's pretty much a god in Canada. Ask any Canadian....except LGM. LOL
  5. Well, it's not all groupies and beer: Longtime guitar tech for rock star Bryan Adams sues for wrongful dismissal VANCOUVER (CP) - The man who's been tuning rock star Bryan Adams' guitars for 17 years is now suing him for wrongful dismissal. In a lawsuit filed in B.C. Supreme Court against Adams and his touring company Rosebud Touring, Mark Stadnyk, 51, claims he was terminated without cause or reasonable notice. "Stadnyk faithfully and diligently performed his duties." the lawsuit claimed. "And was a valuable and reliable employee of the defendants, and was Adams' only personal concert guitar technician for 17 years." Stadnyk made $4,500 US per month for working two weeks a month while on tour with Adams through the U.S. earlier this year. At the end of two weeks of touring last June, the lawsuit claims Adams terminated Stadnyk's employment contract without cause. Stadnyk claims the firing caused him damages, loss and expense, and he wants to be compensated. Lawyers for Adams have not yet filed a statement of defence. 6. Vote here for your new moderators! Let's try to keep the replies down and the votes up. Thanks everyone.
  7. No..... It's just that your Admin's are busy doing other things and haven't gotten to this thread yet. Voting is up and running. Get your mouse buttons ready..... Poll is here---> http://projectguitar.ibforums.com/index.php?showtopic=20679 THREAD CLOSED
  8. Your wish is my command. *waves wand/mouse* POOF!
  9. +1 (Get your posts in now folks, because this thread (and the other one) will be going bye-bye soon.)
  10. Yeah...pick one.....right. It's like choosing the hottest chick at the Playboy Mansion. I had to get some GooGone after checking out all the maple on LGM's latest. LOL UncleJ's is a great original design, with some cool woodworking. Erik's bass is a stunner as well. As a Carl Thompson fan (Primus sucks!), I gotta say it's a classy hat-tip. Great work from everyone. Keep it up!
  11. I'm not sure. I thought it was open to all members. Maybe Brian changed some settings recently. Whatever the case may be, enjoy it.
  12. The pickups on all production Ibanez JPM-model guitars were: BRIDGE: DiMarzio Steve's Special NECK: DiMarzio Air Norton NOTE: Pickups on the production models were direct mount (screwed to the body). REFERENCE: Ibanez Catalog Spec Sheet.
  13. Dave- I can see why it was sold out. I mean, look at how far they put the security barriers back from the front of the stage. I think my favorite part is that the vocalist (using the term loosely) does his own delay. Awesome.
  14. Crafty- you're killin' me here. Ghwar- check this out: http://www.tremol-no.com It'll probably save you a lot of work and get you the sustain you're looking for.
  15. Thanks for doing the update, Scott. I appreciate it. Being a moderator is a pretty simple job. I would say that "policing" is a harsh term. It's more like being a concierge. You help point the new folks in the proper direction, make sure posts are in the correct topic areas, edit out the inappropriate words, keep threads civil and on-topic, and make sure that the rules are adhered to. The moderators here work as a team and have access to every area, so if one person is unavailable for a few days/weeks, we have others to help out. It works quite well. There's not a lot of training involved. Most of the new functions they will see are self-explanatory, and only a few get regular use. There are no specific 'hours' that a moderator needs to put in. It's a "whenever you have time" position.
  16. Nominees: You must say "I ACCEPT". I've seen a few replies that aren't really specific. Also, if someone has declined, there's no need to nominate them again. Thanks.
  17. Sorry man, we're gonna have to exclude I-J-C from this one as he's helping us with other projects that he's investing a lot of time in. We can't ask him to Mod as well. Thanks for understanding.
  18. Hey Everyone! We're now accepting nomiations for Moderator postions here on ProjectGuitar.com's forum. There are 2 (two) positions open. You can nominate anyone over the age of 18, except for yourself and those who are banned/suspended. After someone is nominated, they'll need to accept (please post it here; don't PM it). If they choose not to accept or do not reply, they will be out of the voting. On December 5th, we'll have a ' 'til the end of the month' poll (no posting) and you will all get to vote for your new moderators. Let's start crankin' out some nominations!
  19. Thread re-opened, but un-pinned. We'll await a post from the thread starter.
  20. I'll play along: http://www.tremol-no.com/images/woodblock/RG1.jpg ...but with a carved or arch top. Yummy.
  21. Bomber- The standard way to post tablature on most forums is by using the "CODE" tag, like this: (code) ^ h ^ ----- ^ h vS p v ------ v p v p e |-------------5-9-12-9---------------------| B |-----------5----------10------------------| G |---------6---------------9----------------| D |-------7-------------------11-------------| A |-----7------------------------12-7--------| E |-5-9-------------------------------9-5----| (/code) If you change the parenthesis in the tags to brackets, it'll show up nice and clean, like this: ^ h ^ ----- ^ h vS p v ------ v p v p e |-------------5-9-12-9---------------------| B |-----------5----------10------------------| G |---------6---------------9----------------| D |-------7-------------------11-------------| A |-----7------------------------12-7--------| E |-5-9-------------------------------9-5----| Although your numbers method isn't terrible, it's not as well known as regular TAB.

  23. Good call, Southpa. We can run this by Brian and see what he thinks.
  24. GodBlessTexas- Your post on 10.19.05 is incredibly inappropriate, not only for our forum but online in general. If there are issues with a deal you've made, you should always try to handle it in private (via PM or email) ***FIRST***. If a resolution to the issue can not be met that way, only then should you consider posting on a public forum. Even then, it's something to seriously think about; I've seen it bite a few guys in the backside. I'm only leaving this up here as an example of what not to do.
