well when i was playing i noticed my hand got stuck on the back of the neck...so yeah i'm guessing it is the back of the neck.
i think the action is just fine. my frets? hmm i dont know how bad they are. I don't have any tools that can let me check either :/
well the neck on my guitar is kind of hard to play. Its not that smooth. My friend said the same thing. Is there another way to make it easier to play?
I have a Fender Standard Fat Strat and I want to put tung oil on the neck. Should I sand the neck down, then put the tung oil on, and then resand? Or should I just put the tung oil over whatever finish it has now? There will be sanding involved right? Sry for being such a noob
oh ok i figured that was all just wanted to make sure.
and is painting/finished a guitar hard? ive read many articles and it kind of seems complicated...lots of spray, sand, spray sand, and etc.
will i be able to use regular pickups (soldering and all) instead of the clip on pickups they supply? will i be able to use real pots and switches as well?
i dont think i can spare the cash for a 10in my mom said she'll spend around 350 dollars for me and i have about 60 dollars to spend so its already over my budget...i'll wing it though. anyway would a 9in be hard to use for the project?
ok i made a list of the big power tools. will these be fine?
Delta ShopMaster 9" Bench Band Saw
Bosch 1/4 Sheet Palm Grip Finishing Sander
Skil 2-1/4 HP Router Combo Kit with Sightlight
Delta 10" ShopMaster Bench Drill Press
Black & Decker 4.0 Amps 3/8" Variable Speed / Reversing Drill with Keyed Chuck
i was actually surprised this didnt go over $500...will those be fine? If there's anything wrong with any of those, can you please tell me? Thanks.
I am interested in building a guitar but first I need to know what all the tools I need are. Will it be expensive getting everything? Thank you.
PS can somone delete the topic in solid body forums? thanks
