    Basswood There's no place to get wood around here so im gonna have to go ebay. Is this ok wood for a starter guitar? Is it think enough?

    1. How much will it cost me? I want to make basicly a learning guitar,nothing fancy. Some cheap wood mainly what ever is the cheapest for this project. Im gona buy a used neck so leave that out. 2. If i buy the wood in boards how will i bind them to geather strong? 3. Whats a cool but easy first body like an RR,V, something like that?

    Well i dont wana pay 44 bucks for a template does some one here have an old or could make me a template? I dont really care what it is some thing simple like an explorer, tele? also I just want the body not the neck.

    I have all the tools and i just want some cheap wood nothing fance its mainly for practice. And would I be able to get it at liek home depot?

    Thanks alot guys, this forum is alot better then Harmony central forum. All it was was trash talk and no guitar! I might start a guitar soon and will be looking for your guys help.

    well ive been wanting to make a body from scratch but I dont want to spend all the money and i cant do it. How hard is it? I would be making Eather an SG or An LP I have all the tools and i know a little about carving. But my dad also knows alot because he was going to be a carpenter. But he knows nothing about building a guitar. Just By reading the how tos on here can it be done?
