  1. Guitars: Michael Kelly Patriot Hot Rod Schecter Damien 6 "Custom" Epiphone SG - Repainted, upgraded pick-ups w/ coil tap, tuners, bridge, etc. Amplification: Line 6 Spider II HD 150 & 4x12 cabinet Effects/Stompboxes: All effects dialed in from head unit and controlled through Line 6 FBV Shortboard. Boss Noise Gate Boss Chromatic Tuner I'm pretty set with my gear and don't have a whole lot on my wish list other than upgrading to a Spider III head in the near future.
  2. My wife and I do a lot of painting, wetsanding, and buffing of interior pieces in her car. We use 3M Swirl and Scratch Remover as a rubbing compound and it has always worked great for us. I recently painted my guitar for the first time and used it with no problems whatsoever, albeit on an acrylic lacquer clear coat. You can pick it up at any auto parts store in the sandpaper section. I believe it's only $7.99 for a bottle.
  3. I recently set about refinishing an Epiphone Special SG that had I had bought a couple of years ago for $25. I am currently upgrading the pick-ups along with putting in all new electronics and hardware. I have just finished repainting it red, with a metallic black/gunmetal Dodge Viper-inspired racing stripe traversing the guitar's body, and a metallic black neck and headstock with the front face of the headstock painted red with a metallic black hotrod flame accent. The thing looks like a beast. All in all, I've spent about a month and a half and $250 on this. This is the first project I have ever attempted and I just wanted to thank the people who run this website as well as all of the people who share their knowledge on the forums for putting together such a wealth of information in one place. This site has been a huge help and I'm glad I stumbled across it. Now that I've almost finished with the SG, I'm already starting to scour Craigslist, eBay, and the local pawn shops for the next victim. I look forward to chatting with you all on here and will post up pictures once it's completely done.
