The day these were takin that night we wired the electronics screwed down the tuners and added the strap buttons

So, that jack doesn't get in the way at all there? I was thinkin' of trying something like that, but I'm afraid that it'll be way in the way

No not at all really and Im a big guy and its not touching me at all, Ill be useing this jack style for most of my builds now. Its easy to do and it looks and works great

  3. What do you mean when you say they "lift out"?

Well i cut my slots with the stew mac saw and the fret wire just does not sit the way it should and the teath dont bite in a hold so I set the fret and then it pops up a bit, not much but just enough that it chips the slot and I have to clean it up and redo the radius, its odd because Ive never had this problem with there wire before :D

  4. A part of me wants to paint it but at the same time I like the old school look that the walnut is puting out, its kind of a good mix. What do you guys think about the headstock, Im kinda iffy on it and I would like it to match the body a bit more but I also kinda think that once all the parts are on there that it will look good

  5. Ive been useing stew macs frets for a while now and the more fretwork Im doing the more I hate them, the teath on the Tangs dont bite in to the wood enough and I find that with very hard wood fretboards that the frets will lift out and tear out chips around the slot so I end up haveing to pull the frets and redo the raidus and refret

So what have you guys been useing? I need some thing with larger teath on the tang

  6. Ive not updated this thread in a while, Ive had to refret the guitar because I was not happy with the fretboard radius so that now all finished and the heal is done now its just waiting on paint, Im going to finish it in a nice gun metal gray. and once again im thinking about coveing the maple on the neck with paint :D I just really like that look and feel

no pics until its painted any way :D

  7. well when I got this thing the headstock had snaped off. the body was a bit banged up (still is) and the stock pickups where fried, So Ive repaird the headstock oiled the neck replaced the stock pickups with emg selects

I really have no need for this guitar and Ill offer up to you guys, it is beat up but still in ok shape

with the headstock break you can only see a very small Glue line

    Make me an offer

  8. well the Impalers neck gave out and i am to busy to build a new one, so Im selling the body with parts

she is a bit Banged up buckel rash on the back and some Tinny Paint chips on the tips

this body was built for a hipshot the bridge thats on it now was ment to be a Temp bridge but I never got one for the guitar

    200.00 obo
