  1. This dude on another forum I visit painted an EVH job with Krylon and over time it softened up and his pickguard started to sink into the paint. I'd stay away from it even though I haven't experienced it myself.
  2. Good idea. I plan on making a fully in-depth work log/tutorial if it all turns out okay. I can't find ANY online. Maybe I'm not looking the right place but every tutorial I've seen isn't in depth enough.
  3. So the best thing to do would be to take it back and just order a clear coat from Re-Ranch along with the Seafoam Green when they're back up and running?
  4. It doesn't say not to use it with anything on the back of the clear lacquer can.
  5. I'm a n00b when it comes to this but I think it's an interesting skill to have and I tip my hat to anyone that can do this... Anyway, bought this lefty SG neck (already fretted, truss inserted, etc.) and body on eBay. It comes unpainted and what not... Anyway, I read up on a few websites on how to go about painting it... So I put all of my knowledge I have gathered so far and went out and bought a few supplies. Rustoleum clear Lacquer for my clear coat. B.I.N. Shellac Base Primer. Zinsser Bulls Eye Shellac Traditional Finish & Sealer. And I'm going to place in order on Guitar Re-Ranch as soon as the store is up and running again. I plan on painting this guitar Seafoam Green and they're the only place that has it. Anything I did wrong/may need to take back? Also, how am I going to paint the SG? It has no holes to hang it by.
