Goth fiend- Do you use a router to cut your body after making the template? I would think bits to cut that deep would be hard to come by.

Your saying I would have to cut the body wings off to redo the top?

Check out conklin guitars. They make 9 and even 11 string basses! I believe warrior instruments does too. As far as I know they use single truss rods. Good Luck

How's that finish looking now that it's had some drying time? Did the thick application keep it wet?

12 boxes! I wish I had that many showing up at my door! That model would be great for measurements I need. Could you measure the distance in between the necks at the nut and again at the heel? Much appreciated

I'm thinking of a doubleneck project and wondered if any or you that bought or built could have some advice? I've noticed 2 sets of angles on these- one is the traditional Gibson where the necks are exactly inline with each other and the other is the Jackson /BCR style where they are splayed a bit. I'm curious about the practical advantages of either and if anyone has the Gibson style - how far apart ar the necks from each other?

I have a guitar that has a nitro finish on it. I was wanting to do a quick and dirty rattle can refinish and was wondering if I could get away with spraying duplicolor, etc over it after a sanding. Think I'll run into issues?

Okay- I'm getting the urge to get some sawdust flying again and so it's out with the old, in with the new. I'm open to cash or trade. I'll put a list of stuff I need at the bottom, but if ya have something cool, ya never know First- A 6 string bass. Made from a carvin neck, I took out the frets and never got to finish it. It could be refretted or filled, either way. It's a ebony board, it has 2 Carvin pickups with a active preamp, gold sperzels and a gold bridge. Played great when I used it, hasn't seen much action. Second- A bolt on neck from a 92 PRS. It's in good shape and could make for a copy project.
