  2. Hi all, I see I started a bit of commotion with my post. OK, let me explain. First of all, I never dealt with building guitars ar doing inlay work before I met my boyfriend. And that was a year ago. He was making a guitar here and there just as a hobby. Mostly, traditional shapes. I got inspired by what he was doing and asked him if I can design one. He said OK, but that it's going to be mostly my own project. Before he used to make his own necks, but when he say my design, he said that he wants that guitar to look perfedt, but at the time he didn't have the right tools to make the neck perfect, so we went for the pre-made neck. (however, all the new guitars he's making, are REALLY from scratch). As for the sentence "from scratch, but with pre-made neck", well, gee, sorry you big guys if I said something wrong. Just remember, I never even cared about guitars up to about a year ago, so I simply DON'T KNOW what the right thing to say is. I just wanted to show my first work, because I was prowd of it. Next, as for the web-site, yes, I am in the process of building it right now, that's why it's not finished yet. We got so many positive comments about Baphomet, that I convinced my boyfriend to try doing it for a living. And as for the web-page across the picture, it's just to protect it from reproduction. And the last thing: why I never posted here before? Well, let's see, I guess because I never had anything to say, since I don't know a thing about making guitars (that's my boyfriend's specialty). However, I spent a great deal of time in the inlay tutorial section and browsing this board for reference on inlays. Well, sorry everydoby for sticking my nose into your little community. 2moderator, if you think I did the wrong thing by coming here, please remove our guitar from the vote. Thank you. P.S. thanx to all who actually had something good to say.
  3. Hello everyone, introducing Baphomet - made from scratch (exept for the CARVIN neck-through blank). For me it's my first project (the design and inlay work is mine). My boyfriend did all that amazing job at putting everything together (he's been building guitars for a long time as a hobby, mostly for his friends, but now we are trying to go into business together). Anyways, specs: Body: combination mahogany, ebony and purpleheart with a hard maple top. Inlay: shell and marquetry Neck: maple with ebony fingerboard Pickups: EMG 81 and 85 Tremolo: Floyd Rose >Locking belt straps >12th fret inlay says "Baphomet" Ask me if you have any more questions about it. BTW, all the inlay and marquetry was cut out by hand NO CNC ROUTERS - those things have no soul!!! he-he You can also read a little history and see much more pics on our our website OK, let the best guitar win..
