    you can use any of the plans floating around for the washburn ml series, the ones that dimebag played...they look pretty similar

    I used to have a Maurader, it's basically a Les Paul body with a Flying V neck, I liked the knob for selecting pickups....that guitar really sounded great, the pickups balanced well, Too bad it got stolen, I'd be able to measure everything up for you..... Steve

    um...i think everyone on this forum probably have a serious impulse buying condition......it all started innocently enough.....a jackson 7 string...then in the same day a b.c rich beast, a schecter omen 007....and from ebay 2 esp mf-207's....then a few days later....a japanese kiss songbook...very rare, for the elder....and if the missus finds out how much i paid for the book, i am in a world of poop..... steve

    ok, if there are no repeats, listen to the beginning of the string crossing lesson....right after he talks about michael angelo, when he flips the switch on the guitar, the string noise is definitley echoing.....try turning your speakers up...... still, i'm not knocking the guy....i actually like some of his stuff...even with creed.... steve

    with all of the delay/repeats on the guitar.....he's not that fast.....but, at least he's on the right track, props to the guy for wanting to improve instead of sitting on his laurels. steve

    I usually practice my pinching with no amp, as you can see....it would be a pain to bring home.... any way when i feel that my pinching is not up to snuff, i start with an open string, moving my picking hand between the neck and bridge pinching the whole time. then i do it all over again at the first fret...second...etc on all of the strings. when you get them easily with no amp...they come out with almost no effort when plugged in. steve

    am i the only one who can't get the links to work? not that i'll be able to get any more guitars....the missus thinks 8 is enough....LOL just like the old show, she just looked at my schecter, might be the next i have to get rid of..... steve

    well, i remember reading somewhere that dimebag used 2 rocktron noisegates in his rig, one before and one after the pre-amp, but i can't for the life of me remember where it was i had read it.....anyone have any idea where i may have come across it? and....any idea how it may have been set up? steve

    Well, the missus says I need to start making room for the new baby due soon...so the first thing to go is the Beast....Since I'm so used to my 7 string guitars, the toothpick neck is first to go.....LOL, the hard shell case that came with the guitar goes along with it. I've played the thing maybe 10 times in the last 3 years (yes I know...I'm a pack rat). Lets see what she makes me get rid of next..... Steve

    would you rather know the names of the chords or the fingering? most chords have multiple names based on use and what the other instruments are playing....one mans am7 is another mans c6....i've been playing for 22 years, and with my own compositions, i go with what sounds good and may not be "theory" correct, but again, chord substitution makes things ambiguous, but put a chart in front of me, and i play pretty much what is written....with some added color tones...yes, i'm the guy who will play a f over an em vamp......LOL in order of appearance....(Fmaj7sus2b9b5/B), (Cmaj13), (A13sus4), (G13sus2/A) at least that's how the bass interplays with me.

    thanks man, i always wondered about dimension differences....i play mostly 7 string guitars, but was going to start by building a 6 string, or adapting a 6 string plan for a 7.....thanks again for the reply steve

    any one know if there is a difference in dimesion size between the same models of guitar, besides the neck pocket? thanks for your time steve

    i have a spare peavey stereo power amp, 250 watts a side......great sounding amp, just not powerful enough...our drummer hits like a thunderstorm LOL, so now i'm using an 1100 watt amp, if you look on ebay for the older V - series peavey's you can run them reliably at 2 ohms.....really quiet beasts too. steve
