  1. lol, oops, sorry, i didnt know i put neon and flourescent that makes me sound like an idiot, lol
  2. ok, the names in the poll above would be largely increased, except for the fact that when u create a poll, it says 10 max choices, so i didn't know what to do with that the above mentioned guitarists are all amazing, and there isn't one that i do not like, but for me, i think any technical guitarist from the 80s, like michael angelo from nitro, or billy sheehan on bass (SHREDDING IT UP FOR ALL YOU BASSISTS) and some others, like george lynch, cacaphony was amazing as well, ninja is one of my fav songs ever, with jason becker, who very unfourtunately has been fighting gehrigs (spelling?) disease for about 14 years now, and i know we are all hoping he pulls through. Megadeth with Marty Freidman is one of my favorite bands, until they got that new shitty guitarist, and then split up Zakk wilde is pretty awesome, and when he comes to vancouver bc with ozzy, i really hope to get tix. Any one i'm missing? I'm sure there is, so, why don't u guys reply with your favorite 80's metal guitarists, thats my new challenge, thanks, later ps, i know that 80s metal, or "power metal" isnt the only genre with good guitarists, i just want to know ur opinions on 80s shredders, thanks a lot,
  3. i agree with westheman, on something i missed ealier, there is no best guitarist, there could be some one thats like poor on the streets, that could kick the **** out of joe satch and steve vai, but no one knows about it. And, marty friedman is amazing, jason becker is at the moment disabled, because of lou gherigs disease (spelling?) and i think its a terrible tragedy, that the world could lose such a telent, even when he was in highschool, he could waste just about anyone, my friend scott has made it his life goal to be better than jason, but i think the title of fastest sweepage has been retired, along with most of the talented guitarist from the 80s, i hope to see a comeback in the future of amazing guitarist. thanks
  4. Who will it be? i've been wondering what kind of guitarists u guys like ever since I joined, an i havent seen one forum based on playing rather than the tech side, so i've decided to even it out a bit. My fav Guitarist is Paul GIlbert , because he is sooo amazing, what do u guys think?
  5. man thats cool dude, i wish i could be ur roadie, i would love a guitar like that until the day i die, man, u have to send pics when its done
  6. i dont get why pink has become a girls colour, or a colour only gay guys like, i love pink, and all of the diff shades, from flourescent pink, to neon pink, to even a faded red, its all good, i think anyone out there not ready to admit that is just waaaaay to untruthful to themselves and others
  7. WOW Hey lgm, those guitars are way too amazing! My guitar teacher has an orignial jem tested by vai himself with the vine inlay, and its YELLOW! It is the nicest guitar ever. He rebuilt it after he found it in a pawnshop, and he bought it when it was almost completely smashed, the pickups were hanging out, the neck was cracked, the neck pocket has a crack in it, but he fixed it all up, and he got his friend to paint a rose over a crack in te finish. It is my dream to own a jem some day, but i would love to have it pink, that vine inlay is orgasmic!
  8. Yah dude, pink is amazing, but the paint wasnt too quality Pink and yellow are my fav colours, but i couldnt find a really good quality paint that was in my price range of either. How much did u pay for ur body off ebay? that sounds a lot easier than painting it myself. later
  9. lol, thanks guys and this isnt my only guitar, geeze, wouldnt that suck! thi is an awesome forum, im going to use this all the time
  10. hey everyone Im just some 15 year old kid who thinks hes a big hotshot and thinks he can paint his own guitar, well, i guess i am NOT a hotshot. So i need some help. I purchased a kramer focus 2000 at a pawnshop last year, and i loved it as soon as i saw it, but, the thing is, it was dented and scratched to hell, soooooo, i decided to build a new body for it, and when that didn't work out, i sanded down all the paint off the original body, and then stared at it for a while. I decided to paint it a flourescent pink, but upon commentary from my instructor, i find it was not the right kind of paint. So, i bought a black lacquer, which he said was the best for a project like this. Now, I need some help with the painting. I have already put a couple coats on, but it isnt working out too well, im getting the hang of keeping it drip free, but when do i know when to put on clear? how to i get it nice and flat without that orange peel bumpiness? Help, thanks a bunch -Dean
