  5. ive been wanting to start a topic talking about using yellow pine and other '' junk '' woods.... when really there not, u just half to have an imagination when using them... With pine, its cant sustain on it own, it needs support, so i was thinking... why not make a hollow-body out of all the yellow pine i have laying around but then use a denser harder wood for the top... Now im just getting started in this, so what do u guys think... Talking with Jack ( A nabor of mine, he ranks one of the top 10 native american flute makers in the US of A, and an expert on wood ), he has said time and time again, all wood can be put to use, you just half to have an imagination...

  10. I'm 16, and at the stage where im planning for my future....I have one passion...repairing my friends guitars and making my own...my dad says its just a hobby but i look at it as my life... i know there's so much more that i have to learn and so many possibilities that im starving... Basically my question is, how profitable selling guitars is because it is MY DREAM to open a fairly large guitar store selling my favorite brands along with my customs, and then eventually turn in into a franchise, sitting with the big guns such as guitar center and musicians friend... So if there's any insite on " if selling guitars is a fairly profitable business " and if i could make a good living doing it... thank ya guys, this place is awsome.... ( sg pics, and finished warlock rebuild pics soon to come, hopefully in a couple days)
  11. im going to reuse the b.c. rich guitar neck but change the shape of the head stock, possible paint the neck, and possible play with inlays. lol and it wasnt hard to do this so early cuz i only bought the guitar for 50. I was just wondering tho, i look in other pics and see beautiful curves with no flaws or dips and i came NOWHERE close to being able to achieve that...WHY lol... and if i was to try and sell this, what price do u guys think i should try and put on it.
