    i have access to a CNC mill at school and was wondering if it would be worth it to cut slots for frets on there or should i just use a gentlemen's saw to do that kind of work...

    haven't ever seen metal work liek that on a guitar..but i would be afraid to play it can get fingerprints all over it lol

    this bass is awesome...i really like the wood you chose for it, looks outstanding..the shape of the body is cool too...kinda unique with that lower horn pointing down....love it

    I'm using bubinga on my project and i bookmatched it so it looks really different...i know bubinga isn't all that crazy for a fretboard since rickenbacker uses it but i just thought i'd mention it

    Awesome bass...pickguard is sweet..very original...great wood choices...i'm glad to see that more ppl are experimenting with different woods and letting the color of the different woods be on display...i'm not too into paint.....keep up the good work My cousin lives in heyworth...that's crazy...lol

    lol thanks i guess...i never really thought about it but yeah it does loook like that...i'm going to have the wood pattern on the head stock i think with very thin peices

    I haven't finished addressing the heel problem but i have a plan to get it right....the part i routed for the heel is a little large... are there any ways to fix that?? and yes that is me in the last pic.....thanks

    looks sweet...i like the mahogany strip....there's something about the contrasting woods that appeals to me more than paint...keep up the good work and i'd definately go with some sort of oil or laquer or clear or w/e ...no paint please lol

    ragasguitars: that guitar is amazing and i've never thought to use the lathe, that would be pretty simple.. I'll have to look into that silver too...thanks guys What's the best way to carve out the shape in the wood and what do ya use to glue it in there?? Thanks

    yeah i have to take a little off of the side of the heel that looks off...i noticed that the other day...yeah it does resemble those a bit...i was really goin after the peavey grind bass style I'm surprised you're the first one to mention that though (the flaw) lol

    do you think that stainless steel sheet metal could be cut to fit...what would i use to cut it?? Jeweler's saw??

    i'd go to a music store or find a friend with one and measure it...i don't think you're going to find measurements like that online...but i'm probably wrong...i think just going to a music shop would be the easiest
