  1. that is a bad a$$ guitar. it reminds me alot of some of steven mcswian's guitars.mcswain guitars the guitars i was talking about are under the metal shop section. -ryan-
  2. heres are somw ideas i had for the color that i thought would look good. PIC 2 PIC 3
  3. i found some similar to what he's talking about at wd music here's a metal version metal covers and here's what i think are the plastic onesplastic covers
  4. those guitars are awsome looking and i here the synth pick up has pretty good tracking. i've been thinking about trying to pick one up off ebay. here is a link where you can see a guitar like the one he is talking about g-707
  5. McSwain this guy makes some of the coolest guitars i've ever seen. i found his site because he builds guitars for one of my favorite bands (deadsy) Amir's Collection this is amir derakh's (guitar player from orgy) collection page, he isn't a builder but he did design some of theses guitars and all the guitars are pretty cool.
  6. here is a better pic of the damage here are some more shots of the bass body body2 whole bass i took those before i got the covers for the pickups (or strings), so now you can't see the wires in side of the pickup cavity
  7. sorry about that. i tried to take a pic of it my auto focus went crazy and i figured that it was good enough. i didn't figure out until a few hours after i posted the pic that my problem was that i wasn't turning on the macro mode that my camera has. i'll be posting a new one as sonn as i take it my dad and i go to garage sales almost every weekend, but its hard to find deals like that very often. usally people want way too much for gutiar and other musical equipmet (almost the full retail price usally). some times i get lucky though, a few months ago i bought as ynth module from a guy that kept calling it a "beat looper" for $10 and my dad found a peavy horizon 2 for $20 at another garage sale not too long ago
  8. i bought a 1984 washburn force 8 bass at a garge sale about 2 weeks ago for $10, it dosent have any damage that effects playability, but there is a place on the binding that is damaged and i was wondering if any one could give me some advice on how to fix it. here is a picture of the damage DAMAGE! the pic is blury, but i think the damage is pretty visible. i'm thinking i can get some similar binding and just cut a pice the size of the whole and glue it in, but i'm not sure if there is a reason that it wouldn't work that way. the only problem i'll have if that will work is that im haveing a really hard time finding red plastic binding, and i dont want to redo all of the binding. thanks -ryan-
  9. yeah, it looks way cooler in the video when it's being held by a demon surrounded in flames. its one of those guitars that would be kinda cool if you found it for real cheap ($20 or less) at a garage sale but not for the price the want for it new.
  10. i had been thrying to figure out who made that guitar too, and i gave up ont it, but i was just looking at ebay and found one that looked just like it . it's a jay turser spectre. here is a link to the jay turser website, it's the second one one the page spectre
  11. i voted rancid, since i have more of their songs on my mp3 player than any other band, but i you did leave alot of good band's off the list. im also a huge fan of bad religion, antiflag, guttermouth, dead kennedy's, and the vandals
  12. as far as single cuts go i really like the http://www.schecterguitars.com/spec.asp?id=72]shecter ultra series. i also think mickgaurd was just about right with his comment about the gretsch, but i perfer the black falcon, witch is pretty much the same guitar that he posted the pic except there is gold every where there is silver on that one
  13. thats pretty cool, but i'm just trying to figure out why some one would smash a functional guitar that looks that cool. my only theory is that he must have got it for free, or dirt cheep
  14. i not too good at naming guitar designs myself, so i can't help you with that, but i think that a metallic black paintor a just a black dye job would look pretty bad ass on that thing. the guitar is looking pretty insane (in a good way) so far
