Wow...thanks everyone. I have no specific plans on building a guitar but the entire concept intrigues me. I read alot here in the day or so before posting.....it seems there is alot to learn and alot of fun going on around here. My biggest hope is to simply fit in and have a great time while around likeminded people. Oh...I do know how to use a soldering iron! My father taught me long ago. heh heh

Hello everyone. Found this BBS while searching for a guitar players forum.....looks like I hit the jackpot! I'll be 20 in June.....live in Jax Florida and am one of the very few fem guitar players I know......I have a much older sister and was fortunate enough to grow up with her collection of 80's Metal and Punk. I'm happiest when jamming along to my favorite tunes. Been playing slightly over 4 years. I have an Ibanez EX, Squier Strat (single humbucker) and an Epiphone Les Paul Special II.....they are my babies. I rarely ever have extra money.....but my Boss DS-1 Distortion was 89.95 and worth every cent.......no regrets here.

I too worked hard on getting it just right........there's nothing like hitting them while smokin out some heavy jam.
