  3. I think you should use Paduak. Not many people use it but it really is a great wood, really beautifull and feals fantastic! It starts of a redish colour which eventually oxydises to a deep, dark brown. It has similar sound properties to maple with an open grain similar to rosewood. It's what I'm useing for my next project!
  4. This place has some good instrument wood, plus it's very cheap which is always good! Has quite a variety. www.craft-supplies.co.uk
  5. I have dealt with them and I have to say they are slow! In fact I ordered a bridge from them two weeks ago and I am still waiting for it! It doesnt stop me from buying from them though because they are so damb cheap!
  6. Oops I've posted twice, stupid me!
  7. I'm using Paduak for the body of my guitar. On Warmouth and some other sites i've seen it says that Paduak requires no finish but I'm not convinsed! Can anyone tell me if it does or not? Thanks
  8. Very nice, it really flows if you no what I mean. Great curves, cant wait to see it!
  9. I recently scalloped my neck with pleasing results, it makes bends sound so good, although it does take a little getting used to. I only scalloped from the 12th fret to the 24th as I am not likely to chord in that area, and scallopes do make chording more difficult as it is very easy to press down to hard which makes the chord sharp and out of tune.
