I been searching for sometime now and have yet to see one. I am thinking of taking .dfx from a regular violin and expanding it to guitar size. I would like to avoid this anybody can guide me to a dxf or dwg existing somewhere. Any help? Thanks in advance. Bob

Yesterday watched a program that highlighted the Gibson factory. It was stated in the program that wood variation does have an effect on tone. Why they make the les Paul with maple tops and Mohagany bottoms. I found it very interesting to see how they did. Still very old world in some aspects. With exception of the CNC that can do 24 guitars at once.

I have found numerous deals on craigslist. New items never used for 100 bucks or less, I have bought my drill press, band saw and Table saw there. Cant beat it if your wanting to save cash.

I am currently making making a CNC router out of aluminum, Ill make a thread for all to see in the tools area once I get all my materials layed out and bought , It will be detailed for you to copy. That is if you want.

Thats is real good way of ensuring quality , I know when I rescue a Guitar most of the time they are found in Pawn Shops. And with the damge you get them for a song. But you really REALly have to watch what your buying. Many times what you think is good deal, turned out to be somebodies High school wood shop project. Just watch what you do and read as much as you can, about the Guitar you want.

Well it depnds really, So much can be built to ease a project in making. I built my CNC, Copier and Drum sander. If I were to buy them it would be at 10k in funds. I built all for under 1k, Table saw and Band Saw dremel were had prior to my addiction. The addition of files were all hand me downs from my Uncle (Rest his soul) as well as some drills and Bits. So to say the exact price would be foolish for me anyway. But like many I love machines. And what I can not afford or unwilling to pay for I make. Bob

Rigid is awsome equipment. They are still made in the USA from all I understand. Or maybe just assembled , Not sure. But they are very good quality and hold an excellant warranty. I have one and is now 5 years old, never once a glitch and I worked the hell out of it in a earlier life. Good deal ya got there I may go pick that up, I need a new motor for my CNC.

Sure will Jason, Yeah I did the HD thing for awhile right after I retired from the Army. Its not a bad place to work. The discount? There is none. But your first in line to get the close outs. I picked up a Rigid Air compressor dual tank for 39 bucks when i was working there, and alot more stuff. But either would work for me. Just trying to get things together. Iam currently building a 3 axis CNC out of MDF. Will make necks and Bodies all day with that. If you want I can start a tutorial on how to build one.

Hopeful you banned the user that wrote that garbage. Next time I will do exactly that but I was so upset with what they put on here I had to say something.
