Hey guys, I'm new to the forum and had a couple of questions I hope you can help me with. First off I'm a definate beginner when it comes to working on guitars, I've got an Epiphone G400 SG and am swithing the factory pickups out. I stopped by Sam Ash to get new ones and on recomendation from the salesman I picked out two Semour Duncan's a Model 59 for the bridge and a JB for the neck, is this going to be a good setup for hard/classic/grunge rock? I was hoping I would be able to use the original pickup covers since my new ones are coverless but they don't fit correctly. What I really need to know is, is it possible to find replacement covers and what do I need to do to install them, I noticed that my old pickups were wax coated is this necessary?
