I like the Marshall MG series....good combos. I gotta MG-100DFX, awsome sound, and just enough power.

A Peavey XXX Stack would be my first choice.

Yeh, alot of the sounds comes form the gear they use.....if you have a Mesa, and a big sound board, you will get an even better sound. I Prefer the 81-81 package.....jmo
