I recently got a cheap guitar from a friend as a gift for my dad to learn on. When I picked it up off of the stand, some of the white paint on it had stuck to the rubber covering on the stand. Underneath the cheap white paint is a beautiful cherry red finish that I'd like to reveal. The white paint feels like a rubbery, sticky cheap type of paint. Does anyone know a way I can remove the white paint without damaging the shiny red finish underneath? Thanks!
