  1. Thanks for all your replies guys. For Stormy, everything on the guitar other than my name and the body itself, are from an ESP which has their own markings on the pickups, but likely dimarzios. The last one I made I bought all the parts separately. This way I knew what the best outcome of sound quality would be beforehand plus it's cheaper this way and everything matches. It's actually balanced really well because of the lower pan effect(higher mounted neck assembly)which raises the neck upward a bit instead of having to reach down farther for it,plus it sits on your knee when you reach for that beer. Cheers!
  2. Oops pictures clearly didn't work out. Try again. This is the second guitar I've done, hence lugan2.'Ghost' because I've had the template of this shape for many years but never got around to it until my son said ''why don't you?''so it's been haunting me. r.s.v.p. Thx, Gord.
  3. Hi guys , I'm new to all this so thanks a lot to Brian C. as I didn't even know how to post pics! So please tell me what you guys think. I haven't done this in a long time and I wanted this one to be really different. It's based on absolutely nothing-except maybe a couple beers. The body is maple, the machines and neck are from a ripped down ESP I bought just to do this, and the finish is Devoe 389 aliphatic acrylic urethane with flow modifiers direct on.
  4. To me, an illiterate E-surfer newbie, computer applications should be one heck of a lot more obvious than they seem to be, so this may be a stupid comment but how do I add photos of a project for you guys to comment on? Do I need to be a supporting member first, or just get a new contact lens prescription?Thx, G.
  5. Thanks for the feedback. I should have said I've built it already. It's the body only that I designed as the neck and machines are from a ripped down 24 fret ESP, but plays easier than my Ibanez. This one also incorporates a floyd rose which lends an almost reverb like quality from spring resonance on a maple body. I'm pretty pleased and in some areas real lucky! Like a kid I guess I'm biased tho.
  6. I've designed a guitar based on imagination only with deep bevelling and routing. I haven't seen anything like it before and wondered if anybody had any experience with promoting their creations to big companies like Gibson,Ibanez etc, and how to go about it. Any insight is appreciated, especially copyright or other 'intellectual property' decisions before showcasing. Thanks.
