1. bolts ons are just as valid. Personally i prefer them over set necks but really like through necks best. sure, it was originally a cost cutting measure - but it shouldnt be seen as just that now personal preference is all My two favs are neck-thru and deep tenon set neck but I like a good bolt in guitar from time to time =)
2. I know a guy that might change the spec but you can go to his website: www.eguitarplans.com. Tell Chris Rob sent you, he won't do an exact spec, but he will get you close. Good web site mentioned. Also plans are available all over the web for free just not printed to scale. Spend a few more bucks and get a full usable template at www.Guitarbuildingtemplates.com no need to transfer the pattern to a template. They have a cnc version that is a bit cheaper than the laser cut. You read my mind but since he is in UK I didn't think that would cost worth. Chris will do a custom for 50 bucks and send it via email.
3. I agree not a huge fan of binding but it looks nice!

5. Ace Frehley, Chris DeGarmo (queensryche), John Petrucci, Dave Mustain, Vinnie Vincent, Joe Sat., Jeff Beck, and Jimmy Page...these are just a few off the top of my head...
6. I am not a big fan of the V but man, that is one sweet looking V Drak! I agree with the assessment of losing tonal properties with a Floyd but all will be good! I have seen other guitars with one and still have kick @$$ tone...
7. Duncan makes a set called the Mayhem that is hi output and its only 130 for the set. That leaves the single coil you need for the middle. I would chose this with the Mayhem https://shop.donsmusiccity.com/p-1608-seymo...-for-strat.aspx
8.
My favorites have always been Cliff Burton (Early Metallica) Steve Harris (Iron Maiden) Vortex (Dimmu Borgir) Geezer Butler (Black Sabbath) Out of all the music I listen to, these bassists have had the most effect on my playing style, and I enjoy listening to them the most!
Cliff Burton was freaking awesome when he was alive...Anesthesia/Pulling Teeth is my fav song with his wonderful talent...
9. I also recommend a tip From Chris Monck at eguitarplans.com, taking a washer and putting the tip of the pencil inside and tracing the outline of the body then using a jigsaw to cut the body. I would also recommend a 1/2 inch ball bearing bit with 1" length to make a few passes at a time. If you lined up the pickup routes correctly you can take your time. It's a lot of work your first time, but measure twice, cute once...he also has a few helpful documents for the novice guitar builder for free!
10. I really like the stain and how it came out! Congrats!
11. I didn't take the pic, the guy that supplies me the wood took the pic. I buy all my limba from him...
12. Has anyone used Entwistle Pickups? I bought some and was wondering if anyone has ever tried them?
13.
Billy Sheehan and John Myung.
I am in total agreement with LGM Guitars....Billy Sheehan is freaking AWESOME and John Myung is OUT of this WORLD!
14. Plant Waves makes the best locking tuners I believe, but I would go with Sperzels over Gotohs!
15. I am not getting that, God I wish! I am getting only two 10" pieces at 1" in depth. But they will be quatersawn =)
