  1. His rhythm tone is was awesome.
  2. Finally got a chance to try out the Diablo (bridge). I've got it loaded in a guitar that's in for some major work so, can't really give a full appraisal of the p'up but, what i heard, i liked. Perhaps a tad bright in this particular guitar (alder body, maple neck) but i'm sure a mahogany body will tame it. I'm currently working on a mate to try it out in his Gibbo LP. The Diablo wails at high gain, harmonics just jump out from it. It cleans up quite nicely too. Certainly a p'up that will cut thru the mix. IMHO, It has a P90ish bite. The Diablo is extremely well made, minimal hum at gain and looks a million bux. I think Brett is on to something good here. A very versatile pick up.
  3. A remarkable transformation! It turned the guitar from something I really liked to something I luuurve. Excellent work.
  4. I just had a guitar in that was barely 3 months old and the knife edges were already notched and needed some serious filing. It will get much worse much quicker from now on. A genuine FR should be a drop in replacement in most cases, assuming you have a floating trem already.
  5. Isn't that what you want though? Otherwise you'd have a gap with the neck heel.
  6. I reckon Iommi nailed it on Technical Ecstasy, Moth. His tone in the intro to Rock 'n' Roll Doc and his lead in Gypsy are to die for.
  7. Ritchie Blackmore on the front pickup - any song. Franny Beecher - Goofin' Around.
  8. I'll drink to that.......Sláinte.
  9. Buckethead might be interested in that.
  10. Block sand the ding and feather about 1/2" around it. Re-fill the ding if neccessary, then take the guitar to you nearest auto paint store and see if they will do a good colour match for you and take it home a paint it. From the pic, It looks as though it is a matt finish with no clear coat so, you really should have little dramas with it.
