Awesome, that's good to hear. I like the color of a yellowed finish on maple and I know it gets ugly dirt marks if you play it raw, but I wasn't sure on protecting it otherwise. Thanks. Is it safe to only apply one coat of shellac (wiped on two-pound cut) and one coat of satin polyurethane (brushed on with a foam brush) to a maple neck? I know it won't protect against dents at that thickness, but it feels nice. I'm just concerned about it protecting from moisture so it doesn't warp.
