  1. so to clarify, if I'm planning on dyeing my entire body, neck and headstock (basically everything except the fretboard) black, then sanding back the headstock and top to dye blue, roughly how much finished solution should i be making up of the black and the blue? thanks Tom
  2. I'm having a freaking blast. my bank account less so... yeah, I don't think I'm rushing anything. I made really good templates, which has made all of these bits much quicker. I'll be forced to slow down when I'm doing the carving, the fret markers, etc, etc.
  3. Then it starts to get complicated (for my skills) and probably a little ugly looking. I think I just need to accept that I either pony up for the real deal (ghost) or live without. I'm leaning toward the latter, although I may still try out the under-the-bridge plan (I'll test it by playing some RHCP, arf!) as I can always just take it out if it doesn't work that well - i won't do any cosmetic damage as the rout will be hidden by the bridge plate.
  4. If anyone's interested, the results were not great - very quiet output (through a preamp).
