  1. That does look cool I want one now, lol
  2. Just curious, how may of you make your own necks, and how many buy pre-manufactured ones? If you make your own, what radius do you usually use? Or is it compound? What size fret wire do you use? What's the shape of the neck? The dimensions? Lots of questions...if you think of anything else relavant tell me that too
  3. Please just post it here...that'd make it easier for us all in the future. Thanks
  4. ok...time for a REALLY dumb question, so brace yourselves. I have absolutely NO experience with routing (other than on the edge of laminate countertops ). Anyway, my dad has a Rotozip router, in addition to the one he uses for counters. Anyway, looking at it is made for like cutting wood, or drywall, or anything all the way through. Main point is that these bits are skinny, and I don't see how you go about cutting cavities for pickups/control cavity with them. So I've been looking on the net and can't find any pics of someone actually routing. Even on the StewMac site, they sell Dremel tools, but they don't mention routing cavities, just like places for the frets, etc. What kind of tool do you need for this if not like what I have, and how do you go about the actual routing. Thanks again
  5. I'm new here, and I'm about to build a guitar. I'm 14 with limited resources and a lot of freakin time. Anyway, I'll probably be askin a bunch of question for the next little while, so bear with me if they've been asked before. I'll do my best to find them, but I might ask them again if it's not clear or I don't see it. Anyhow, kinda on topic, to radius a fretboard, can you just keep it flat, and then sand it with the radiused block. Also, if that is proper, is it possible to make a compound radius with the radiused blocks. Thanks
  6. I have an Orville Les Paul Custom, and I bought it from Japan, so the shipping was crazy. It was worth every penny, though. Beautiful ebony with gold hardware. I'd be willing to sell it for 800. if anybody's interested just lemme know at signs_of_life@hotmail.com. I can get some pics if you need them. Also, I'm in the US, so you'll save a TON on shipping.
