    doesnt paulie in aeolian make his own rods like the prs double compressions ones ? maby try that. he gets some very thin necks onto his chromeboy clones for customers.

    might not be. if your guitar centre line is straight with your neck line then you should be able to line up the join between the D&G saddles. but if you are not sure then take it to a good tech or luthier. the posts might be a little bit off line aswell. i put a schaller on my les paul a few years back & got it wrong because of that. but thankfully Paulie in Aeolian was able to sort it for me.

    I think i would just oil that pale looking one. its perfect just the way it is.

    I heard about those cat5 amps. Didnt gary moore use a cat5 head with marshall cabs ?

    the other thing i tink i should mention. I talked to a few other people before i was pointed to aeolian. the quotes i got were between €4000 - €6000. some places just wudent take the comision. so its not like you can even just go to a store & get something like this.

    There realy is no comparing one of those to a bolt on guitar. I played a JS single piece he has with a trap neck on it & just so nice to have in your hands. even with a square neck it just felt right. costs are funny with him. he hates charging loads of cash for his work, says it doesnt "feel right" because he finds it so easy to do this stuff it not even like its proper work to him. but i kinda have to say good things about the lotus because I HAVE ONE ORDERD for a custom built playable sculpture the price is a joke, its like stealing.

    Im not sure about the Fholes. but its still a cool shape. what color will you be making it ?

    Most of ibanez guitars are a poly finish. Id try some micromesh to see if you can polish it out. if it was a cellulose they would make a song & dance about it on their website spec page.

    What happened the green thing any progress on that one ? did the color hold after you stained it a second time ?

    you colored your glasses with markers ? howd you think that up ? you got decent ventilation were you are workin

    Have you settled on a color yet. What about amber ? just a slight tint to bring out the quilt. Like BC Rich do on some of their geets. I think you should definitly consider it Maple, Sapele, Walnut & rosewood is a nice combo to mar with a vivid colored finish.

    Thats cool. The back of that thing looks like a chromeboy Was this some special black you got to achieve that finish?

    WOW !! You could use that thing to shave in th mornings the fabric job on the front rocks.
