  1. I recently bought a new stratocaster neck for my strat body. I new I was taking a risk in the first place because there was no way of knowing whether the neck would fit the body. Sure enough the 4 points where the screws connect the neck to the body don't line up properly and the end result leaves my neck slightly crooked so my high E-string almost hangs on the edge of the fretboard. I am looking for easy advice or solutions to end this problem. Last resort (if nothing else works) is to buy a body that will fit the neck. The neck is Stratocaster and so is the body.
  2. I have an Epiphone Classical Nylon String Guitar and It is often buzzing when ever I fret any were between the 9-12 frets of the guitar on all strings. I'm not sure whether I need to adjust my truss rod or not, I thought maybe the fret was warn down too much but they are fine. Does anybody have an Idea of what the problem might be?
  3. It's Just a Dimarzio HS-3 Pickup I got off of ebay. I have a soldering iron, and a wiring diagram but i'm just jumping back and forth trying to figure out whether or not to do i myself or pay the guitar tech at the local store to do it. I will probably just ask the guitar tech to show me how to do it in the future. Plus i would also like to have him/her look at my pickup switch which is also broken. Thanks For The Input P.S. I'm only 17 and i don't have a car so it's a little difficult to get around and i have very little experience in the area of electronics. All I've done on my guitars was scalloping the frets (all 21 on my project strat) and Frets 19-22 on my Ibanez JS100 and i couldn't be happier with them.
  4. How much would it cost to install a single coil pickup for a strat?
  5. I have a Stratocaster that I have Just Scalloped, and now i am currently in the process of buying pickups off ebay. When i get the pickups, i want to take everything of the guitar and paint it. I am a huge Van Halen fan and i'm gonna go with the Frankenstein stripes w/ the stevie ray vaughn style (SRV) initials on the pickgaurd. I know that eddie starts with a black guitar and adds tape over top of the body then paints the whole body white, then adds even more tape, and paints it red for the last time. he then removes the tape to reveal the black and white stripes. The Body of my guitar is already red so all i need to do is paint the stripes on the guitar and avoid having to buy red paint. what would i need to do to achieve the van halen paint job?
  6. Thanks a lot dude! I have a rosewood fretboard and i know where i can get lemon oil. Thanks for the help.
  7. I Have Just Finished Scalloping My Fretboard And All I Have to do is put oil on it, but i do not have oil soap, I have an 'Antique Oil' used for repairing scratches and protecting wood from spills. It Does Not Say Anything about application to steel, so i don't know if it is the right thing to use on my frets. If i shouldn't use the antique oil, where can a find something that will do the job? I've already tried 'RONA Home and Gardening' and i couldn't find oil soap there.
