  1. Yes, new screws for each saddle. At this point I have two major questions in mind. Nut - with angle or not (zero fret needed). Pickups - in angle or not - this its bugging me. My client want with, but the poles alignment makes the aspect terrible and I don't know if pickup will sound good at the end.
  2. Thanks guys, it's good to be back! I'd like to participate more, looking and comenting all posts on the forum, but time still short. Now I building two twin guitars ESP based, but 7strings with multi-scale frets (28-25''). Both used same woods, Ceddar for body back, Imbuia (kinda wallnutt) body to and headplate, Rosewood fretboard and Marfim neck. One, the owner send me the hardware. Seymour Duncan pickups, Schaller bridge and machine heads. The other had no hardware yet, thinking to wound the pickups myself, Hipshot monorails and Gotoh machine heads. Here some pics:
  3. here's a king V Phil Demmel inspired with BC headstock KH inlays, all mahogany, wenge fret board, dunlop frets, kahler, emg, sperzel .....
  4. Hi all It's been four years of my last post, not that I did came back to see what you folks was doing, but in silence most of times. In this lack of time I travel two or three times around the country working in my day job. Made a post degree, and begin my master of science, but even working at the shop, but with setup and fixes. Builds I had to brake a little in this gap of time. Hope find all you guys well and healthy. In this post I'll try to get you update of my little builds and some works. Heres a ZW tribute ....
  5. It's done some time ago, but I forgot to post pictures. Hope you guys like. I'm kind busy from my day job, and at the shop a lot of setups. Hope have mor time to build more. seeya!
  6. Tks Guys!! I realy don't know what color use, a kind a meat red it's what I kept in mind, but don't know yet. The ceddar i'ts the Cedrelinga Cataeniformis, it's a tropical species. (http://es.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cedrelinga_cateniformis) I don't know if you'll find easily in USA, it's like maples species are for us here. Expensive!!! Just to you compare Swietenia macrophylla (Mahogany) have 0,63g/cm3, and Cedrelinga Cataeniformis (Arana Ceddar) 0,64g/cm3. The cut of frequences it's almost the same of Mahogany but depends of how was cut, good to work too.
  7. Now it's finished, just sand and paint. The great question is which translucent color? Natural? Tobaco? Red? Black? I'm open to sugestions!!
  8. Its to simple to build if you had an old neck to use. Is very very light, to much in fact. I'm thinking to put some metal cover to give more weight.
  9. i'm crazy about to test these pickups on this guitar, of course i'll give my opinion to him here!!
  10. we have two or three types. this one sounds more like mahogany than pink cedar.
  11. This one prototype I made for myself. Use a maple skate deck, with a 1984 marfim one pice neck. Cing-ling hardware and a custom rewound ceramic pickup.
  12. Continuing, I decided to use the new ones Tesla Opus 4. Love the samples on the site.
  13. heheeheh I do the same with a Music Man 5 strings!!! I promisse don't do that anymore!!!
  14. Maybe if leave the head mor wide, improving the V angle, and giving some angle to strings, like Dean but not a reverse V.
  15. I don't build many basses, and this one was my first 5 strings. To me was a challange. Maple neck, Imbuia fringerboard, and the body I always confunding Alder and Ash (you guys wolu'd helpme LOL) All Parts bridge, squier machine heads, seymour duncan pickup system. Hope you like!!
  16. No Scott, not so fast! Something about 4 months. Tks!!
