  1. Hey guys, well I've got this GCB-95 that I bought for cheap off a friend who said it didn't work. As far as I can tell there's no damage to the pcb board and all the components work, but I think my friend messed up the switch wiring. Here's what the switch is like (from left to right, top to bottom of the switch) 1-Green, which connects to the wiring harness 2-Two blue, one which goes to the pot and the other to the wiring harness 3-Yellow, which goes to a capacitor on the board 4-Purple which goes to the wiring harness 5-Red, connects this and the next node together. I figured it must be a switch problem because when the effect is switched off it works like a normal bypass, however, when I switch it on it just cuts the signal completely. Sorry about the lack of pictures, I don't know any quick hosting sites. Any help would be awesome I trolled google earth for a picture of the original gcb-95 switch wiring but couldn't find any, which I thought was really weird.
  2. I've had this old GCB-95 kicking around for a while and I've been meaning to fix it - or get it fixed- but have never really had the time but now that high school is over I figure I might as well. It works when I have my guitar in, and then the wah into the input on my amp but it only works as a bypass. So when I turn it on I just get this strange low-pitched hum and when I turn it off it just works as a bypass. Any insight on this problem? Thanks
  3. Hmmm... I'm still getting the message "Could not find input or output hardware". Here is my setup, maybe I'm doing something wrong, wouldn't be surprised. Guitar--->Cable--->Adapter so it will fit into the soundcard plugs--->Vox Cooltron Big Ben--->Realtek AC'97 Line-In. Even if I try it without the pedal into Mic it doesn't work :/ Might have to crack and buy the USB adapter
  4. Hey guys, I have Amplitube 2.1 and I'm trying to use it via plugging my guitar directly into my soundcard with an adapter that'll change the 1/4" plug to a 1/8'' one so it can be plugged in. However, Amplitube isn't picking it up no matter how I fiddle with the settings. Help?
  5. It definitely has those marshall high's, think Vai-Call it Sleep. That's what the sound sample made me think of, tone wise.
  6. I have an SD JB in the bridge position of my guitar with a Jazz in the neck. I love the sound of my neck position but the bridge sounds almost too twangy. I've tried everything with every possible EQ and it doesn't help, at least it didn't but then I found that if I fiddled with the tone knob it sort of made it go away, but not really. So this leads me to wonder what I could do to fix it? It's probably that the resistor I used when I installed it was too small, any opinions?
  7. I'm sorry, but that looks nothing like a telecaster to me, more like a Bc Rich mated with a ES335
  8. Maiden have you ever smoked Marijuana? Really? I'm not going to lie to you guys, I do quite often. Time does not mysteriously slow down around you, althought if it did it'd be quite the trip. And on your law enforcement thing, I've met many, many, many cops who have caught me smoking weed and laughed it off, told me to have a good night, and been on there way. Seriously, it happens all the time.
  9. I love the body design, but I really dislike the headstock. Not the whole thing, just that little "nub" on the treble side. It would look strange in you simply cut the nub off, but if you made flow a bit instead of just a point I think it'd look rad.
  10. You can buy big sheets of pickguard material from Warmoth and plenty of other suppliers, I don't think you can cut it with a normal saw though without it melting, just a heads up. Oh, and pearloid catches and burns VERY fast, I had a pick made of pearloid once and I threw it at a candle and it literally just burst into flames. Cool, eh?
  11. Wes you are indeed themann. Sick axe man.
  12. Oh my... that's incredible for a first build man, high five!
  13. Is it just me or does that fingerboard look THICK? Great work Kenggg
  14. Man... Unclej!?!?! He held a strat body for me that he could have sold to ANYBODY because it was dirt cheap and wasn't even the slightest bit annoyed when I said I couldn't get the cash for it. He was always an awesome guy to deal with. A huge loss RIP Uncle Johnny, show him how us PG'ers play
