  1. I disagree here. The only thing i dont really like id the les paul plate on the 3 way. Other than that I would be happy to have it in my guitar rack.
  2. Nice. I have a v build im currently at paint stage with.
  3. Love the look so far. Cant wait to see it finished.
  4. Sorry not sure if this should go here... Im looking for somewhere to buy metal cavity covers. I dont have the means to be able to make them and prefer them to plastic. Shape inst really an issue either.
  5. I like the woods you have chosen. I might have to look around for some Vic Ash myself.
  6. Love your neck connection. Very nice looking set neck.Very nice looking build.
  7. Here is a pick of the headstock blank, neck and the body after routing it out.
  8. I cut the body out and also started the neck. Had to glue some ears on for the headstock. Also the les paul is now ready for final sanding and paint... I will post pics when i get better ones (as the ones on my phone didnt turn out well).
  9. Ok years ago I started a neck-through V. But after a few big mistakes i ended up scrapping it. Then a few months ago i started a 6 string les paul type guitar for my son. Well That one is nearing completion (sorry no pics yet), thanks to help from Allan (Searls Guitars). Now i have started compiling the parts for my next build. Specs: Neck :Mahogany (Set) Fretboard : Rosewood Nut : Black Tusq Scale : 25.5 Frets : 24 Body : Mahogany Super Strat Tuners : Schaller Pickups : BKP Blackhawks Bridge : TonePro 7 String (string through body) Thinking tung oil finish at this stage. Really depends how clean a build it is.
  10. Great thanks. I had thought about filling the extra depth with the saw dust.
  11. Ok this will be my first slotting a board. I need to know how deep to slot. The radius will be 12" and a Tang Height - 1.88mm. I plan to slot before i radius, so how deep do i slot allowing for radiusing?
