  1. Hi All I have been googling for an answer to this for a while. I had originally thought that epoxy resin would be ideal but some sites contradict this saying it's incompatible with the natural oils in the wood. Has anybody done this? If so what do you recommended using? I plan to use my smallest router bit (8th of an inch) to cut a line from the edge of the fretboard about a quarter of an inch in and about a sixteenth deep at each marker position (3rd,5th.....). on the underside I'll have circular holes routed (not sure how big but enough to take the 3 mm bulbs and obviously channels running from the 3rd to the end of the board for the cabling to return to the battery compartment in the body. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
  2. Thanks everybody It is a fretless but it has (very crud wide markers) on the fret board which I'm hoping I can remove with a light sanding. I won't need them as the LED markers will effectively replace them. I measured the distance from the nut to the center of the twelfth marker as 401 millimeters or 15.78737 inches (online conversion calculator. lol) I will double this for the position of the fully forward saddle of the G string. This is the kit. Wish me luck
  3. Thanks Do you solder it to the underneath of the bridge or just lay the bridge on top of it?
  4. Sorry, New to this. How do I give you that info. Is it the distance between the nut and the twelfth fret marker?
  5. Hi all I have a short scale kit fretless that I'm using for a testbed for a fretboard led project. Can Anybody tell me how to correctly position the bridge for a short scale so the intonation is correct?
  6. Hi There Brand new to doing any sort of work on bass guitar at all. I'll try and keep this short. Couldn't see fretboard while doing my first gig in twenty years. Doh! Stage was too dark. Can't afford a status or to have sims do it so I'm having a go at fitting LED's. I bought a cheap short scale fretless on ebay to try before my beloved bass. I'm getting ready to kick off now but when I laid out the bits I noticed a loose black wire. The photo is not great but I'm hoping someone here might know where it's supposed to go. Thanks
