  1. I checked specs on most 12" speakers by Eminence and it looks like they recommend a baffle hole of right around 11" (10.97 - 11.05). I am thinking if I go right to 11 it will be fine for a homemade cabinet. Thanks
  2. Hello, I am building a speaker cab and have limited time to do so. Therefore, all of the construction needs to be done before the speakers even arrive at my door. Is there a general size that the holes in the baffle have to be for 12 inch speakers, or will they differ greatly? I was thinking the holes would have to be about 11 1/2 inches in diameter, but I wanted to check with you guys before I made any cuts. Thanks. The speakers are red cone Jacksons made by Eminence.
  3. If I am wiring four 16ohm speakers in a parallel (to get 4ohms output) do I solder two positives (or negatives) to the same post to continue the circuit, or do I get some kind of adapter to do that. Just wondering so I don't fry anything. Thanks. Also, I bought a 1/4 inch jack at Radio Shack to connect to the speakers for the output. How do I know which post is positive on the jack if it is not labeled, or doesn't it matter.
  4. Hey guys, this forum is great! I just have a few question for anyone that has built a speaker cab. First, I have four 12 inch drivers that are 50 watts and 16ohms a piece. I have built a 30x30x11 cab for them to go in and plan on making it fully closed. I am connecting the cabinet to an 80 Watt M-80 Chorus Head by Fender. I was wondering if anyone could tell me how to wire the speakers inside the cab? I have built several, but never did the wiring. Also, what do I use as an output jack on the back of the cabinet? Can I just use a regular 1/4 inch guitar jack. Any help, especially with pictures or diagrams would be appreciated. I will post pics when I finish. Thanks
