  1. jeez 14, it makes me think i should get started on building soon. i'm 19 and havent built a guitar yet. i have to say, that guitar is absolutely fantastic. i've been looking around for a neck-through neck that you could buy like that. its great that i found out where to buy one now. so i'm gonna build a sweet bass!!!
  2. do you mean gain or the power supply? if thats the case with the thinner strings then i'll be experimenting with a bass sustainer if it'll work. that'd be sweet, especially for some jaco stuff....hmmmmm....
  3. i was looking around on the net for a place to find the lm386 chip and discovered this http://shopping.netsuite.com/s.nl/c.317485.../it.A/id.395/.f would it be possible to use that instead of the fetzer/ruby amplifier??? also... just wondering would the sustainer work on bass???
  4. hmmm ok let me rephase it then. i didnt like the sound of the barts i have heard so far.
  5. these tips are great. i'm a newbie so i've only got one. get a good digital camera. Brian
  6. hz's !! they arent real EMG's. i love emg's, i have an EMG P in my bass with 18v. i was thinking about barts before but i just dont like the sound, i love the sound of emgs. Brian
  7. i have to say that that guitar looks cool. is that really your first?? makes me wanna make my own one. i have plans to do it...eventually, but i'm only young atm ( and still have hair..lol) i cant wait to see that guitar finished, i love the bridge. classy looking! Brian
  8. hi, i'm new. just thought i'd say i'm doing stuff to my bass, including a killswitch. (i'll post up more info in another thread). i have an EMG for it, and asked emg if i could put a killswitch in it. they told me that you can, just break the red power wire and bridge it with a switch. just thought anyone with EMG's might like to know this useful info. Brian
