  1. I'm not sure, but the site of where I got it says US/Canada. It weighs 40ib a cubic foot, which is the same as mahogany. Heres a picture of it, and I'll post a thread for it when its finished. I think I'll use tung oil!
  2. I planed my 4A maple top on my 320$ 13" ryobi planer, and it went through flawlessly....on both sides.
  3. Do you use that thickness so you can make the headstock one piece? I imagine so. I just bought some walnut for a superstrat, how is it to work with? I hear its soft for a hardwood.
  4. I didn't want a straight line, or a V since that only really works on V shapped guitars, so I met in the middle.

  8. You do it by hand! Heres a picture guide to it: http://homepage.ntlworld.com/robert.deacon/robert.deacon/ What program do you use to design this?
  9. Why do you do it that way? Isn't it beastly expensive/wastefull this way?
  10. That inlay looks awesome! I can't wait for my MOP to arrive and start working with it. Any tips?
  11. yes, you could. There are many ways, either with a table saw, or a bandsaw and a fence (usually the best). You won't get 4 1/4 thick pieces, since you have your blade width to accommodate.
  12. Multiple pieces. It is also more efficient on material that way.
