  1. That "SWOOOOSH" thing reminds me of the cloud I think it's called. It's by schecter and Prince played it. I like the body but i think a 3x3 headstock would suit the body better.
  2. Carvin only sells maple neck through blanks on the internet but I heard you can get all sorts of options added if you call them and order.
  3. I love the sound of Les Pauls but my heart lies with RG's. I wanted to make essentially a Les Paul in disguise, but I can't do any fret work or get a snug fit with the neck tenon. So I thought If I could get a mahogany neck through from Carvin, that would be great, So can I get a mahogany neck through from carvin? Or just maple? That isn't the theoretical question. I thought I heard somewhere that the wings on a neck through only add 10% of the sound of the guitar while the neck and "heart" wood make up the other 90% (neck and heart being the same piece of wood and all) I also think I heard that The maple cap on a Les Paul adds about 10% as well. So IN THEORY, a Mahogany neck through with hard maple wings would sound at least remotely similar to a Les paul. Am I correct in this theory?
  4. They're talking about NAMM in a thread about NAMM videos, I don't see where they went off topic.
  5. I think it is just the salt that does it and the olive oil ahears the the surface better than salt water.
  6. ...Saw that coming. Bleach makes things rust/look old, just make sure you don't leave the parts in there too long. Also I've heard brushing olive oild and salt on metal parts will make them pit and look old.
  7. Just heat the solder joint with your solder iron, it will melt and come free, then solder the new pickup wire to where you just removed the old pickup from.
  8. Go ahead, but shipping will kill ya.
  9. 2 inches isn't really Thin, most guitars are 1.75 inches thick.
  10. I don't thik Ace ever used his neck pickup much, that was the one that usually burst into flame and smoked during his solos, A.K.A. it was inactive.
  11. I was going to say, on one of those LP bodies that the body looked like it was poorly pieced together from a lot of pieces of wood....then I realized it was your floor.
  12. Yeah that age thing doesn't fly ever since Godin the guitar super freak unleashed his beatiful, pro-quality creations on us, that talented, 16 year old so and so.
  13. I think it is "the real" Melvyn Hiscock. Wait, I know how to establish this, will the real Melvyn Hiscock please stand up....
  14. I thought you grew him Drak Isn't it obvious? Drak is a WOD farmer.
