  1. hey you guys, Why don´t you use fender's parts diagram from the fender website: http://www.fender.com/support/diagrams/pdf...0131202BPg1.pdf You can even convert the pdf file to cad file. or print on the scale on acrobat. for the pdf to cad converter go to: http://www.download.com/PDF-2-DXF/3000-667...tml?tag=lst-0-9 Hope it helps... cheers...
  2. hey idch, well, for the rocket 350 logo you could work it on a cnc machine to route it on your pickguard material. the things is you´d have to get that "Rocket 350" in a cad file to work on cnc. that would work... and for the quality of a cnc job... it´s a pretty reasonable price. cheers... ohh... one more thing, where did you get this Rickenbacker font????
  3. very cool!!!... I´ve never seen a Rickenbacker in progress on this forum.... please keep us posted... oh... and one more thing... where did you get those templates? did you copy from a original one?? or do you have a cad file of it???
  4. well, by the "tele bass" I meant the exact same shape as a telecaster guitar. concerning to the neck, the scale of it was taken from a hofner bass as well as that Stewmac Fret Calculator. Hofner has special strings made for this short scale basses witch has the tension needed for this kinda scale. at least that's what I´ve figured out when planing this project. I´ll keep y'all posted.... thanks for the info.
  5. Hi, Well, for my first project I was thinking on building a short scale bass, 30 inches scale neck, in a telecaster body. I was just wondering about the sound of it... I just got the wood for the body... brazilian wood... cedro, I guess it´s close to Ash. and a maple and cedro neck - 30" scale. Rickenbacker Pickups (00030). I´d appreciate some pointers on what should I be concerned about, since it's my first time building it. Thanks...
  6. man.... very good job... do you have any building photos..? Very nice in deed....
  7. well I needed some number on this particular kind of pickup. here in brazil it's hard to find one at a music store just to measure it, so i needed to know: - its lenght and width - how deep does it go in the body - any thing on pdf or dwg. (plans...) Appreciate everybody's attention on the matter... Thanks really....
  8. Thanks Mike, I appreciate your help. Wouldn´t be really good if someone had plans on this bass?? I´ll try to get the numbers on this bass (neck, body, fretboard...) and I´ll post it. thanks.
  9. well, it´s a glue in neck with a 30" scale. I wanted it to look like the hofner neck, that has almost the same width from the body to the nut. hum... I wanted it just like a hofner beatle bass neck... that's it..
  10. Does anybody has a dwg file on this kind of neck? Hofner and Gibson SG basses come with this size of neck... I have a fret calculator by "Stewmac" but I don´t really know if it does work with basses... I figure it does... but well. If anyone had plans on this I'd really appreciate. Thanks.
  11. Well I looking for anything on Hofner 500/1 violin bass (Beatle Bass). Any plans, blue prints would help. Does anyone know how they´re build, I figure they use a solid peace of wood for the body and make it into a hollow body. I appreciate any help. Thanks.
