I just bought a Rickenbacker 4000 Stereo Bass in terrible shape. The binding on the body, and neck are gone, as is the pickguard and finish. The neck is straight, and electronics are fine. Other than giving up more than what it's worth to a guitar maker, I thought I'd give the binding a shot. Anyone have any sources for materials, and techniques? I've done LOTS of furniture, and restored classic amps, but no guitars. TIA, Gary

I have an oldish Fender acoustic (San Marino) with a bow in the neck, but it has an adjuster in the BASE of the neck accesed through the soundhole. To take the bow out does one adjust it clockwise or CCW? TIA, Gary

I recently found a used Ovation slimline Celebrity Deluxe with a fantastic neck, quick action, no buzzing, and great electric sound. Problem... it was really beat up, and I've looked at other new ones and all had REALLY high action. Question... are these made with such loose tolerances that I have to look so hard for one that's acceptable? TIA, Gary
