Hi guys and gals, I have just ordered a custom neck from warmoth!! Its a fatback strat neck in birds eye maple with pau ferro finger board and 6150 frets, Im having the back laqured in vintage tint gloss! anyone know anything about there necks and what pau ferro is like to play on?

be carfull with the ebay dude, i got a tele template all well and good from them and it was cool. I also did a private sale for some neck templates and guess what they didi not turn up!!! im £50 down. You think you can trust some people but you really cant.............

I live in the brandonis kits stink big time. my advice is buy a ready made body usualy around the £120 mark, you can get these from www.craft-supplies.co.uk, they have a few diferent types of wood to pick from. look on ebay for a neck! i picked up a mighty mite birds-eye maple with ebony board for £70 all in!!! and it has a nice satin finish strat neck <take a look at one! If you are after wood I have a good stock and could help you out! Good look brother

Hi all, I have a Large selection of Backing tracks available............. take a look at a sycamore leaf! looks just like a maple leaf right!! from the same species! not to sure about beach but sycamore is real good providing it has been cut properly and kilnded right. if you can get london plane which is a type of sycamore get it! it can have a real pretty grain!

try wood glue, that way it wont stick to the fret but will fill the slot up so its a nice snugg fit. a new bord souldnt need gluing at all realy

Hi all, can someone help me? whenjoining a two peace body down the centre do you need buscuit joints or dowl joints or can it just be glued and clamped up?? matt

iv just bought a load of english walnut to make some teles and strats with, i personaly think walnut is one of the most beutiful woods you can get, it looks fantastic under danish oil..

Looks to me like its from the mahog family??? could be a local name for it in west africa! that tends to happen with all kinds of wood that we know with other names!!

its just getting laquered at the mo!! its a 7 string lap-steel made from bubbinga, as soon as its done i will post some pics if i work out how? just kind of flew by the seat of my pants doin it so its a bit of an odd one! on to a tele made of walnut next!
