  1. I'm about to start painting for the first time and I know there's a couple really good tutorials on this site but neither have pics that work anymore, so I am wondering if anyone has any tutorial with pics or videos to help show how it should be done. I'm not expecting to get the hang of it for months or start doing advanced painting for months maybe years so anything is helpful, I just like many work better by seeing or watching. Thanks Jason
  2. I'm looking for a tutorial or a reference to show me how to slot nuts and shape them and such. I have a classical guitar that needs a nut and I'm gonna need to know sooner or later how to do it.
  3. shed some light instead of criticizing then, isn't that the whole point of a forum. thanks for all the replies and I have quite a few grizzly bits but I've never heard of cmt, so that's why I'm a little biased that way. I guess some more feedback on cmt would be great.
  4. if you read the descriptions they're the exact same router bits except grizzly's is green
  5. wow spendy http://www.grizzly.com/products/item.aspx?itemnumber=C1191 Grizzly has a 1" for $28
  6. http://www.wayneguitars.com/movies/clip367.mov Ok I know in the video they say their's is custom made, but does anyone know where I'd be able to find a bit like that?
  7. I made a truss rod out of cheap supplies you can buy at menards, I'll take pics and post up a tutorial if people are interested, but I used 1/4-20 threaded rod, that square tubing with only 3 sides, a 1/4-20 coupler, a nut, some super glue and a little bit of tape to wrap around the rod. The threaded rod came in a 6 foot length for a buck, same with the square tubing, the coupler was about $5 for 3 and well a nut I had lying around, some measuring you can make 3 truss rods for a total of about $8, AND mine looked A LOT better than that one, mine looks like your traditional truss rod!!!!! I quickly posted a tutorial of it on my site, have a look, let me know what you think, I'll also post a new thread maybe it'll get pinned!!!
