Cletus Blackwater

I think I read here somewhere (I searched and searched and couldn't find it again) that if you drill through the body so that the screws of a bolt-on neck just pass through, you get a better sounding instrument. Am I remembering this correctly? I was thinking of trying this out, but I want to make sure I'm following good advice before I destroy an otherwise decent instrument. Thanks, -CB

That's a beautiful guitar. I love the fretboard. I wouldn't worry too much about the gap, it doesn't look bad in the pictures. Looking forward to seeing it finished. -CB

Thanks idch, that was the kind of info I was looking for. As for the rest, I appreciate the loyalty y'all have for Brian, but I was just trying to get educated about the various kits. Howdy, New around here and thinking about buying a Saga kit for a first project. So I'm looking around to get a feel for prices and shipping and see a kit that looks just like the Sagas but all it says is AXL. Is this the same kit? Different? I tried a search here but apparently 3 letter words like AXL aren't allowed to be searched on. -CB
