  1. Here are some 3D-pics of my sustainer-board: FoneBone P.S.: It's really cool what you can do with Eagle and POVray, isn't it?!
  2. Here are the direct links (all PDF): FSK101-Manual FSK401-Manual Sustainer trimpot functions FoneBone
  3. And here is the schematic: FoneBone
  4. Here it is: The FRS777 1.0 (Fetzer-Ruby-Sustainer). The '777' is because I'm a big fan of Mr. Vai Top Bottom I'll hope I find the time to build this board. If there are any interests in taking a look at the schematic of this circuit, feel free to ask. FoneBone
  5. It's necessary that the strings don't hit the driver while playing the guitar... the rest is try and error FoneBone
  6. I think, it depends on the space between the strings and the body of your guitar. FoneBone
  7. Last night and a bit of today I've done a little work with the eagle layout program. Here are the results: Click on thumbnail... This is the complete board-circuit of the Fetzer-Ruby-schematic, plus the top- and bottom-view of it. S1-S2 are switches for power and mode J1-J4 are for the connection to battery, bridge-pu, driver, volume Maybe this is helpful. Enjoy it FoneBone Little Update: Click on thumbnail... On this board you only have to wire the bottom (except 1 on the top!)
  8. It's always a question of view... my mistake, sorry And thanks a lot, lovekraft. FoneBone
  9. Okay, now I got a BF245A. But I'm not sure in which order the pins are. Fairchild says G S D, but Siemens and Philips say D S G. And I don't know, from which manufacturer my transistor is. Here is a little picture: Sorry for the bad quality! FoneBone
  10. No, it's just a steel blade (62 x 12 x 4mm) and a wire of 0,2mm. The frames on the top and the bottom are from a cd-cover. I put it on top of my bridge-humbucker. Maybe this is the problem why it makes such noises?! FoneBone
  11. There is the 2SK170 at reichelt.de for 0,47€. Which version should I take BF245A, B, or C? FoneBone
  12. @lovekraft Thanks for the alternative to the MPF102... I have used an BS170... ...and here it is: But I've got another problem... this little amp is very noisy... it hums and changes only the frequency of humming, if I use the potentiometers. Any ideas? Thx FoneBone
  13. Those are my first drivers. Both have 8 ohms. First was too thick, but second is only 4mm. The tests with the telephone amplifier were bad, so that I will test another circuit. Are there any mods of the fetzer-ruby circuit that work better than the original? FoneBone P.S.: Do you know any alternative to the MPF102/2N5457/J201? I don't find it at any store around me.
  14. Hi onelastgoodbye, thanks for your answer. So do you think I have to put the driver instead of the speaker and the guitar output instead of the the coil (Adapterspule)? Or do you mean the opposite? Sorry, but my electronic knowledge is very bad, as you can see FoneBone
  15. Amplifier 199613-62 6,95€ Preamp 195359-62 7,95€ Today I will go and buy this Amp... more to come soon. FoneBone P.S.: I didn't get it in the store, so I ordered it online. We will see
