  1. I just ordered one to try it out....
  2. Found another Mohawk product you might like... Tone Finish Clear Lacquer Aerosol comes in Dead Flat, Flat, Gloss and Satin.
  3. Thanks for this, I use a lot Mohawk products and I must have missed this one.....
  4. never thought of that one, I'll give it a shot......
  5. You could also look at Mohawk Pre-Catalyzed Clear Lacquer Aerosol if you can find some.
  6. Thanks for the advice.......... Can the hazing be buffed out, or would sanding and reapplying the lacquer be better?
  7. G'Day Folks, I'm a retired guy getting back into building a few guitars for friends and family after a 45 year absence and am having issues with painting. Unfortunately, I'm forced due to space restrictions to painting in a tent outdoors which isn't bad at times but it rain quite a bit. I've noticed some hazing on particularly over dark paint when finishing with nitrocellulose lacquer lately after putting on coat or two and was wonder whether it due to the humidity. Just wondering whether I'm wasting my time or are there things I can do to compensate? All feedback welcome........
  8. What should I be using to take these measurements a micrometer? How prceise do I have to be with this?
  9. Greetings, I'm new to guitar building and have picked up a couple of rough Washburn P4 bodies on the cheap. Now I'm looking at finding a means of making necks to fit the bodies. The Washburn P4 has a set neck design which I would like to stay with if at all possible. Any suggestions on how to go about buying wood, making the neck, buying blanks or anything else that would make this an interesting but not so difficult a project would be appreciated. Regards......
